RAIN COAST CHOIR
Rain Coast Choir is a non-auditioned, 5-part Rock/Pop choir based in East Vancouver, BC and led by Joline Baylis. We create fine-tuned vocal arrangements of classic songs and current favourites. Over the years, we’ve sung songs by David Bowie, The Tragically Hip, Fiona Apple, Neil Young, Bahamas, Fleetwood Mac, Bruce Springsteen and more!
We love collaborating with artists here in Vancouver, and we have had the pleasure of performing with Leo D.E Johnson, Logan and Nathan, Daughter of the Moon, Joshua Wood, Monica Lee and Jack Garton, among others.
JOLINE BAYLIS
An accomplished singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Joline Baylis captivates audiences with her soulful voice and poignant lyrics. Her performances are intimate and magnetic - whether playing solo in a stripped-down acoustic setting or commanding the stage with a full band, Joline's passion and vulnerability leave a lasting impression.
Baylis' debut release, “Break Me Down,” produced by Kenton Loewen (Dan Mangan + Blacksmith) has been described as “fresh, haunting, and profoundly honest”. Her music effortlessly blends elements of folk, rock and soul, creating a unique sound that is both intimate and powerful.
Playing in venues and festivals throughout British Columbia and Alberta, Joline has gathered a loyal following wherever she performs. Taking part in Via Rail's Artists On Board program, she travelled east by train, playing venues in Toronto and Montreal.
